Etwas oberhalb des Innsbrucker Stadtzentrums gelegen, zählt Schloss Ambras Innsbruck zu den bedeutendsten Renaissanceanlagen Österreichs und zu den kulturellen Höhepunkten Tirols. Im 16. Jahrhundert von Erzherzog Ferdinand II. errichtet, diente das Schloss nicht nur als Residenz, sondern auch als Präsentationsort für Kunst, Rüstungen und außergewöhnliche Sammlungen – und gilt damit als eines der ältesten Museumskonzepte der Welt.
Die Schlossanlage umfasst das Unterschloss, den berühmten Spanischen Saal sowie weitläufige Gartenanlagen.
