Die Nordkette ist eine der außergewöhnlichsten Sehenswürdigkeiten Innsbrucks und ermöglicht einen direkten Zugang von der Innenstadt in hochalpines Gelände. Als Teil des Karwendelgebirges verbindet sie Stadtleben und Natur auf einzigartige Weise.
Die Auffahrt beginnt mit der Hungerburgbahn, einer modernen Standseilbahn, gefolgt von Seilbahnen zur Seegrube und weiter hinauf zum Hafelekar auf über 2.300 Metern Seehöhe. Bereits während der Fahrt eröffnen sich beeindruckende Ausblicke auf Innsbruck, das Inntal und die umliegende Bergwelt.
